Projects

A couple weeks back I got a free shabby door. You know ~ the old kind with the glass panels 3 across and 4 down with the goop smacked around the edges of the panels. This week I decided enough and so I cracked, sometimes broke, the panels and striped the old paint. Do you know how exciting it is to actually see a project close to finished? Propping it up against the shed near the garden I am going to repaint it a deep, yet vibrant red and plant some beautiful flowers around it. (Go to www.glidden.com for your complimentary 2 FREE samples!)

I would love to see my sunflowers peek over the top of this cool door and taking photos of my kids with this as a background.

And I also stripped a desk I got at a yard sale for $2!! Nothing like the sun in my face and the kiddos napping to make me get a lot done. ;)    Hopefully this desk will remain my sewing desk as I finally feel like starting a patchwork quilt. Something cozy and coffee-with-book inducing.

Let's see ...hmmm...what else? Oh yeah~ I painted two of my cabinets with chalkboard paint and hung them. Not really a ta da moment because now it looks dorky. Since I've already stripped a desk and an old door, I really have no desire to strip the cabinets. So I hung them. Now I think it might look okay if I just paint the rest of the cabinets a different color. UGH! Not sure I can convince my hubby of the later ... he is always so patient with me.  LOVE YOU JAS!

Would love to hear your ideas with paint and projects....
