Sick kids = redbox movie time

So today I was supposed to take my daughter on a field trip but instead wound up at the doctor's office. It was actually a 3 for 1 special.

WHY??

The "toddlers" decided to also be sick. How exciting! So I am sitting in the doctor's office with not one...

not two...

but three children!

It was rather frustrating. My four-year old decided that she was not going to sit still and made the paper rattle WHILE the nurse/doc was trying to listen to lungs/heart/etc..
Oh and so did the other two children.

YO KIDS...PLEASE REMEMBER THAT I HAVE TAUGHT YOU MANNERS!!

I wanted so much to threaten with no-whatever-is-their-favorite and take it away forever. (Like that will actually happen!) Instead I gave "The Look". You know...the one YOUR mother gave you and it also annoyed you. The one that you knew you would be in trouble later.

Ha! It didn't work. (With my kiddo's!)

So two scripts later along with three flu shots and we were off. Actually I dashed off because the toddler "twins" ran out the office door. :)

Since all the family either is sick or has the sniffles I made a HUGE pot of yummy chicken corn noodle soup.  Nothing says my family has a cold like fixin' the above.

Oh and a good movie...courtesy of Redbox. I picked Bailey. A dog movie. Can't possibly go wrong! ;)

So now I sit and remember that tomorrow is a gift. A gift that will be here before I know it and with coffee in hand it will begin. A day that it one step closer to them all feeling better. This is a great way for them to learn how Jesus is our healer! How awesome is that?!?

So thanks Jesus for opportunity to tell my children how, even when they are sick, that you love them. You rock!
