New Perspective

How many times have I decided that being married meant that it was okay to stay in my pajamas all day without "cleaning up" for my hubby? How many times have I went without putting him first? Did I honor him in front of the children? Do my children recognize that daddy is my number one priority after Jesus and before them?

This list could go on a ways but this is why I write about my love.

I was wrong!

The priority that should have been numero uno wasn't and the one that should have been numero dos wasn't that either. Boy ~ am I glad I don't live in that house you might say!  Um...yeah..me too!  I was really challenged this past weekend as Jason, my love, and I got away from it all. The children, the job, grad school, messy this and that. We attended Family Life's "Weekend to Remember" with speakers Tim & Joy Downs and Trent & Andrea Griffeth who mixed it up with humor.

So go for it. If you've been scrubbing children's butts all day or you just did the umpteenth pile of laundry ~ take the TIME to SHOW your HUSBAND how much you RESPECT and HONOR him by wowing him. Put on a nice outfit, some make-up or make his favorite meal. Or go ALL out and just SHAVE YOUR LEGS!!
( I know it's winter and, well...just do it! Don't let the forest get out of control!)

Check out this clip from older couples about love.
The conference showed this various times throughout the weekend.

Love is patient...
            Love is kind...
It does not envy, does not boast, is not proud.
It does not dishonor others,
it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered,
it keeps no records of wrongs.
Love does not delight in evil ...
            ...but rejoices with the truth.
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes...
             ...always perseveres.

                  Love never fails!!!
